When you order, we need to know your name, phone number, e-mail address and billing address. We may also ask for a credit card number and expiration date for payment purposes. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status. When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
We use the PayPal service for collecting payments submitted over the internet, and do not collect credit card information on our web sites. PayPal’s secure sockets layer (SSL) encrypts (scrambles) all of the information you enter before it is transmitted over the internet and we receive only the payment, directly from PayPal. PayPal has recently upgraded its digital certificates with SHA-256 bit encryption, which is the latest standard.
All customer data that we collect and maintain electronically is encrypted on our proprietary SAN and well-protected against unauthorized access. This includes all work product (digital audio, etc.) that we receive through our transcription platform, and all finished work transmitted digitally to our customers. All sensitive (personal and proprietary) information is encrypted when it is emailed from our offices.
We utilize Google Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Act-On to understand visits to our web sites. We are able to track information that is not personally identifiable, such as the pages visited, time on page and general traffic information with Google’s tools. Act-On allows us to track the activity of customers and prospects we have already identified. It specifically allows us to track the usage of our web sites and the open rates for some of our marketing email.
